I'm not that familiar with the protocols for CRV, but, if I'm
understanding you correctly, are you saying that CRV is not meant
to
produce visuals?

At the end of May, I will be
visiting Charlottesville, VA for the SSE
Conference and to visit my publisher. If anybody wants to get

I found the easiest way to quiet the mind is to focus on a
singular
thought - I usually find a tone or a simple sound (washing
machine in
background, or middle tone in a binaural beat sound tape). Try to
think
of NOTHING but your tone. It's kind of like walking on a fence -
you're
seldomly in balance - usually off to one side or the other, but
quickly
correcting so that you don't fall off the fence.

I went to this ceremony and did not take any peyote medicine. I
stayed =
up with the group all night long, had very strong painful
insights

felt the presence of the =spirits very clearly.=20
Now something which may fit into this subject.
I RV a friend's family history a while ago. My friend is Native
American =
and one of her relatives is a medicine man (during RV I sensed
him as
"bad medicine"). After the session on my way home I
heard a very
strong voice telling me: =I know you know me now, watch out, I
can
harm you.
Of course, I felt shocked for a moment, felt danger. But later
on, I
=knew I am protected and "he" could not harm me,
because I would not
let =him do so.
This incident made me to question whether Shamans, RVers or any
other
=methods you work with, use the same channel and can communicate
with
=each other.
Just hope what I wrote made some sense. I would appreciate your
comments =on that.

practitionor of many of the shamanistic rituals as a native

have to be lived and both Liam and Sandy have lived lives which

Not to my knowledge. But I have to also say that in my own
opinion
the methodologies currently being used for teaching do not
completely
reflect what he (Mr. Swann) envisioned as a full teaching
methodology--since many elements within his original methodology
were
later modified by others. As a general rule what is usually
bought by
the military is ultimately owned by the American Taxpayer. So
whatever the military feels they purchased probably belongs to
all of
us--if you figure out exactly what that might be, let me know. :)
If I understand things properly, the right of manufacture is
somewhat
different from the right of use. Like when the military buys the
right to
use an operating system that comes with the computers it
purchases--but not the right to resell it.
When it comes to the military and training, this may be the
single
greatest factor impacting on why so many changes have been made
to
the original methodologies utilized--so that it can be
re-distributed
as something other than. It is also possible that since the
original
processes (at least as I understand them from my observations
while
at SRI-International) were very complex in the extreme, so very
few
people truly understood what it was he was doing in the first
place.
I would add, that complexity or lack of understanding by others
should not be misconstured as meaning they were in some way
ineffective, as the way in which Mr. Swann taught them was very
effective.
It is sort of a problem of someone being "taught to do"
and not being
"taught to teach." When someone is taught for the first
purpose and not the
latter, you do not necessarily explain some of the things you are
doing and
why. Hence some elements of the traning are never automatically
passed on
within the training. Unfortunately, many students are unaware of
this and
"presume" they have seen it all by virtue of the fact
that they have been
somewhat trained.
In the final response, one really would have to ask Mr. Swann?

I am without doubt a people
person, when doing RV, or any other form of
psychic work.
I know that each vwr is better at some aspects than others. Maybe
the
doctor sees the medical side, the architect the stucture of a
building for
example.
How should we handle this? Is it better to focus on one's own
aptitude, or
strive to gain a broad working ability of all the various
aspects.
What advice do you have?
BTW, Firedocs should be getting a few hundred hits any time now,
from
another list I belong to. Told them its the most comprehensive RV
site on
the internet.<G>

You are partially right. Ian
Stevenson's recent book, "WHERE
REINCARNATION AND BIOLOGY INTERSECT" Praeger Publishing,
1997; only
addressed about 13 or 14 cases of reincarnation, mostly overseas
(India, Burma, Turkey, Sri Lanka, etc.), and is specifically
focused
on Birthmarks and birth scars. Of course, one of the reasons for
addressing overseas cases versus United States cases is because
there
is more control over the "kids (subjects)" exposure to
news and
culture, and these cultures already focus on the material as part
of
their social heritage, hence the case studies, materials and
information collected, are somewhat cleaner or come from earlier
in
the subject's life.
While it would appear there are only a few, I would add that his
examples are taken from literally thousands of varified and
documented cases which Ian has studied over a near 30 year
period,
most of which have been published in an academic multi-volume set
consisting of a few thousand pages.
Unfortunately, that is why most of us can't afford them. Hence
the
publication of "Where Reincarnation and Biology
Intersect"--which represents
only an extract of his research--but one accessible to us poor
folk. Dr.
Stevenson's work is actually monumental and will probably stand
for decades
as a significant marker in the area of reincarnation.
